Skillset
My core skillset is HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery. I am a capable pixer blender and feel right at home with Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Coda.
I have worked with several CMS platforms, notably Wordpress, Drupal and VerseOne CMS.
Howzit! My name is Andrew Fairlie, and this is my website.
I am an experienced Front End Web developer who enjoys coding standards compliant, accessible websites.
(PS, this site is responsive …)
I am a Front End Web Developer with 7 years of experience, specialising in Website development and User Interface (UI) development. I enjoy designing websites that use a browser's full capabalities, but gracefully degrade for older browsers.
I have designed and coded websites small and large, from brochure level to large corporate portals as well as eCommerce sites.
I ensure that all my work is accessible to AA standards, as well as valid to W3C specifications. I work to tight deadlines with confidence, and have always made myself integral to the companies I have worked for. I am sociable and friendly and great to have around the office.

I am a London Based developer, living in Wimbledon. Companies I have worked for include LBi, TAG Digital Interactive (TDi), House of Fraser and VerseOne Technologies
I don't code websites all the time, I like to play bass guitar in my band, watch live gigs and travel as much as I can. I like meeting new people and enjoy socialising over weekends.
My most recently completed projects and clients that I have worked for.
I spent 3 months at the awesome offices of LBi in Brick Lane, building web pages to go live soon on the BT consumer site. My 3 month contract primarily included building pages in HTML and CSS, with a bit of jQuery to make it all work together nicely.
Miss Selfridge required an easy to update fashion blog, easy enough for their content editors to add pictures and text easily. So naturally I recommended Wordpress, and built them their dream site from designs provided. I hand coded the site using the Bones Wordpress starter theme as a base, and customised the theme PHP files to make it work as they envisioned.
I assisted a group of .NET developers and an Interface developer to enhance the search facility across all 4 of their websites. The enhancements included improving the search filters interface, and the performance of the AJAX calls to the server for a slicker response time.
Some of my older sites that are still doing a great service! All of them accessible and AA compliant I designed and built all of these sites during my time at VerseOne Technologies.
